Walnut High School jumped out to a 13-point lead early in the game and never looked back in scoring a 90-58 victory over visiting Paloma Valley High Friday night in the first round of the CIF 1-A Division boys basketball playoffs.

The Mustangs improved their record to 24-5. They were led by Dwight Ramos with 29 points.

Paloma Valley ends its season with a 10-17 record.
