The Mt. San Jacinto College Jazz Artist Series will include a performance by internationally known jazz guitar player Steve Crowell and the MSJC Big Bands Feb. 22 on the San Jacinto campus.
Crowell spent much of his career working the clubs and hotels in the Lake Tahoe and Reno area. He is the author of several publications teaching jazz guitar and he has more than 600 students around the world enrolled in his online classes.
The performance will take place at 2 p.m. in the San Jacinto Campus Theatre, 1499 N. State St. in San Jacinto. Crowell will also present a free one-hour guitar clinic from 11 a.m. to noon in the Music Building, room 1602. Musicians of all levels are invited to bring their guitars and work with Crowell.
The MSJC Big Bands, directed by Bob Waner, are made up of area musicians, many of whom have worked with some of the top names in the music business.
Ticket prices are General Admission $6, Seniors $5, Students $4. Guests under 18 are admitted free.
