Police Arrest 6 on DUI Related Charges Over the Weekend

The Menifee Police Department's DUI Enforcement Team arrested six people for DUI related charges last weekend. Four for alcohol related DUI's and two for drug related DUI's.

 Conducting a DUI saturation patrol on Jan. 17, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., officers sought out alcohol and drug-impaired drivers throughout the streets of Menifee in the Department's ongoing traffic safety campaign.

The saturation patrol stopped 53 vehicles, gave 27 drivers standardized field sobriety tests, 27 were cited for moving violations, and three vehicles were towed.

Other arrests included four drivers who were arrested for outstanding warrants, cited, and released. Two other drivers were arrested, cited, and released for driving unlicensed.

The Menifee Police Department plans on continuing to conduct DUI checkpoints and DUI saturation patrols in an ongoing effort to deter drunk and/or drugged driving and keep our streets safe.
