A 76-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer's and reported missing since Saturday afternoon was located safely this morning.
Ly Keosybounheuang had apparently fallen near a residential area and a citizen called the fire department. Keosybounheuang was transported to a local area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated and released to family members and is home safe.
Officers responded at 5:06 p.m. Saturday to a residence in the 29000 block of Fox Creek Drive in Menifee after he was reported missing. They immediately began searching for Keosybounheuang, using a photograph provided by the family, and speaking with citizens and merchants in the area. A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter and a bloodhound team also assisted in the search, but the man was not located at that time.
