Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society Meets This Thursday

The Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society (LEGS) will be hosting a meeting that will present the publishing features that are available on Ancestry.com through the free "My Canvas" utility.

On Jan. 8, Arlene McKenerick, vice president of LEGS, will demonstrate how to create a very professional looking family history book, using your own computer and printer. This can be achieved using your own family pictures and data already on Ancestry, without having to be a paid member of the popular website.

McKenerick has worked with most of the graphics software programs available on Windows computers since 1990.

For those who are interested LEGS members will help you research your own family to get your started. Come to a meeting with your family information and they will have some information for you by the next meeting for free.

The Jan. 8 meeting will take place at the Mission Trail Community Library located in Wildomar, between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. It will be free to the public to attend.
