Time Running Out to Enter House Decorating Contest

Time is running out to enter the Menifee Christmas House Decorating Contest. Deadline is noon on Monday.

The contest, co-sponsored by the City of Menifee and Menifee 24/7, encourages residents to decorate their home for the holidays with lights and festive decorations and submit photos and an address to share the holiday atmosphere with others. Winners will receive their gifts and be honored at the Dec. 17 Menifee City Council meeting.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:



Best use of lights: The house that shines above all others with its lighting effects.

Most festive: Capture the imagination and cheer of the holiday season and you're a potential winner here.

Most spiritual: A decorated house that best illustrates the spiritual aspect of the season.

Most humorous: Make us laugh and you might win this category!

Community/block theme: Get together with your neighbors and decorate your block or community with a holiday theme. You could be the winner!

Best in show: The house with the best overall presentation for the holiday season.

Here are the first-place prizes, in no particular order, to be awarded in the various categories, thanks to the following contest sponsors:

$50 gift card from Target, located in Countryside Marketplace

$50 "Dinner for Two" gift certificate to Texas Roadhouse, located on Haun Road near Newport Road

$50 gift card to TJ Maxx, located in Countryside Marketplace

$50 gift card to Sherwin-Williams paint store, located at the corner of Newport Road and Bradley Road

To the grand prize "Best in Show" winner: A $250 gift certificate to Living Spaces, located on Antelope Road in the Ralphs shopping center

Resident who submit photos and their address in this contest give their permission for Menifee 24/7 and the City of Menifee to publicize that information in the event your entry is a winner. Names will not be included unless requested by the homeowner.
