The Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation is inviting sponsors and guests to its 7th Annual Gala.
The gala is the Foundation's signature event to raise money for student scholarships and other endeavors that benefit students and Mt. San Jacinto College.
The fundraising event is scheduled for Feb. 7, at the Pechanga Resort in Temecula and is open to the general public. The theme will be "Diamonds, Donors, and Dollars for Scholars," a Gatsby-inspired event and encourages cocktail or 1920s attire. The event will highlight student organizations and athletics.
The headliner for the gala will be Virgil Gibson, former Platters and Rivingtons lead singer. Other music will be provided by the band Kicks. An elegant meal will also be provided and a silent auction will be held.
The Alumni & Friends Association will present Gwendolyn Schlange with an award of special recognition; present Candy Anady with Outstanding Community Member of the Year; award Ruth Ditsch with the Outstanding Alumni and Friend of the Year; present Fred Frontino with the Outstanding Staff Member of the Year; and award Sterling Roulette with Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and tickets will be $150 per person. Sponsorship levels will start at $2,500.
