Coming in For a Landing ... and Maybe Some Shopping?

The hot air balloons that sometimes float over Menifee are fun to look at -- but you never know where they will come down. Depending on the wind and other conditions, the balloons don't always land in a remote location, although the pilots usually manage to find an open field.

This balloon gave residents in the Rustler Ranch development a close-up view this morning before touching down in the open field across Haun Road from Countryside Marketplace.
