Church of Christ Offers Free Weddings for Those in Need

A local couple this Saturday will be the first to take advantage of a recent offer from the Menifee United Church of Christ to perform weddings free of change for couples in need.

"Shauna and Bill have been engaged for five years, but have never been able to afford to pay for a wedding," said Senior Minister Bill Freeman. "I'm happy to perform their wedding for free."

Couples in need are limited to a handful of guests. Rev. Freeman says the church usually charges at least $1,000 for a wedding. Menifee UCC is located at 26701 McCall Blvd. Interested couples may contact the church at 951-679-1149.
