Wildomar Police arrested two people on drug related charges after spotting a gray BMW traveling at a high rate in a residential neighborhood near Bundy Canyon Road and Monte Vista Street.
On Nov. 13, at approximately 11:49 p.m., the BMW sped away from the police, but the officer was able to catch up to the vehicle on the 25000 block of Loring Road. While attempting to pull the vehicle over, the BMW slammed into a parked vehicle, became disabled, and a female passenger ran out of the car and into the neighborhood.
The driver, Jesse Charles Phillips, a 26-year-old Wildomar resident, was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence and possessing methamphetamine. Inside his vehicle, police also found items used to sell and use methamphetamine.
Searching the neighborhood, Wildomar police located the female passenger, Taylor Leigh Carr, a 21-year-old resident of Ventura. She was provided medical treatment for injuries she sustained during the collision and was arrested for also possessing methamphetamine.
Both suspects were booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
