Registration Still Open for Menifee Veterans Memorial 5K

Registrations are currently being taken for the 4th Annual Menifee Veterans Memorial 5K run/walk scheduled for Nov. 8.

The course starts and ends at Wheatfield Park and features steep hills and rugged terrain. Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starts at 8 a.m.

Those who are interested, are encouraged to pre-register by Nov. 7. at www.active.com. The fee is $35 if you pre-register and $40 on the day of the race.

The event also includes a Captain America 1K kids' dash and features and easy course which will weave through Wheatfield Park. The kids' dash will start at 9 a.m. Registration fees for kids will be $20 or $25 on the day of the race. Registration is required through www.active.com.

Registration includes a t-shirt and a swag bag, and all finishers will receive "Military Dog Tag" style medals. Participants are encouraged to wear Captain America or military style costumes.
