Award-winning authors and Mt. San Jacinto College professors Duff Brenna and Eduardo Santiago will speak to an audience about writing, publishing, and their past work.
The event will take place on Nov. 19, at Mt. San Jacinto College's Menifee Valley Campus, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in room 927 of the Technology Building.
Duff Brenna currently teaches creative writing at Mt. San Jacinto College and is the author of six published novels, a collection of short stories, and a memoir. His works include "The Book Mamie", winner of the AWP Award for Best Novel, "The Holy Book of the Beard" called an "underground classic" by The New York Times, and "Too Cool", a New York Times Noteworthy Book.
Eduardo Santiago has taught writing for UCLA Extension and at Mt. San Jacinto College. Santiago's first novel, "Tomorrow They Will Kiss Back", was an Edmund White Debut Fiction Award Finalist and a Latino Book Award finalist. His follow up novel "Midnight Rumba" has received a starred Kirkus review, earned top honors at the prestigious New England Book Festival, and the Latino International Book Awards.
