Den Leader Denise Boring led the event, coordinating a schedule with 17 scouts and their families. The food that they collected, was donated to the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, who feeds nearly 1,600 people a year, including families, seniors, and the homeless.
The pack will continue to collect food in the coming weeks with neighborhood collections.
"It has been wonderful being out there with the scouts," Dawn Prather-Smith, Cupboard Director said about the Scouts' efforts. "They are so eager, enthusiastic and so excited when the food is weighed and tallied."
