A 13-year-old bicyclist was struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Central Avenue and Como Street in Wildomar.
On Nov. 17, at 5:21 p.m., Wildomar City Deputies responded to the scene of the accident. The driver pulled over immediately after the collision and waited for authorities to arrive on scene, according to the police report.
The bicyclist was carried to the roadside by witnesses and was later treated by fire and ambulance personnel. The juvenile's parents were summoned to the scene and followed the ambulance to a local hospital, where their child received treatment for his injuries.
The 13-year-old male suffered multiple abrasions and bruises and was expected to recover from his injuries.
Central Avenue was closed to traffic between Como Street and Palomar Road for approximately two hours while deputies investigated the traffic collision scene. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
