Each day during November, we will recognize the 10th anniversary of Menifee 24/7 with a look back at past articles and photos. Since its launch date of Nov. 1, 2004, Menifee 24/7 has grown tremendously in serving the readers of our community. We thank our loyal readers and cherish the memories of the events we have documented over the last decade.

Here's another look back at a day in Menifee history, as originally documented here with the original publication date listed. As you can see, cityhood was being discussed well before the actual incorporation in 2008. And then, as now, the absence of vehicle license fees was a major factor in the budgeting process of the city.
