Throughout the school year, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High School Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 10:
Kristen Briseno took fourth place overall at the Sunbelt League cross country finals, qualifying for the CIF postseason meet.
Wide receiver and defensive back Aleva Hifo has been solid all season offensively and defensively for the Patriots football team, which plays in the second round of the CIF playoffs Friday night.
Brittney Ellis finished the season strong for the girls volleyball team, which advanced to the second round of the CIF playoffs.
Stephanie Salamanca provided strong play and leadership for the girls tennis team.
These athletes are last of the fall sports athletes to be honored by Menifee 24/7. We will begin honoring winter sports athletes in December.
