Road Improvement Project Underway in Quail Valley

Work has begun on a pavement repair project on 2.5 miles of Quail Valley roadway, the City of Menifee has announced.

The project began last week and is expected to be completed in December. A similar project will take place on damaged streets in Sun City next spring, according to a news release.

Casa Bonita Drive and Vista Way are the first streets being resurfaced, followed by the adjacent streets in the neighborhood (see map). Affected residents will be notified with fliers delivered in advance of any street closures necessary to complete the work.

The project will repair potholes and cracks in streets while avoiding major street overhauls. Crews will resurface roadways with a chip seal layer comprised of rocks that are one-sixteenth of an inch in diameter, followed by a fog seal coat. New striping and stop sign markings will be installed.

There will also be repairs to the parking lot of the Quail Valley Volunteer Fire Station.
