Paloma Valley High School Athletes of the Week

Each week of the school year, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Paloma Valley High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are the Paloma Valley High School Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 13-19:

Demarco Prewitt ran for 100 yards and caught a 60-yard touchdown pass for the football team against Elsinore Oct. 17.

Girls cross country runner Cytlaly Vera ran two personal bests that week, in a Sunbelt League meet and at the Bell Gardens Invtational.

Michael Arreola finished in second place with a time of 16:02 to lead the Paloma Valley boys cross country team to victory at the second Sunbelt League cluster meet.

Dani Alvarez had 2 aces and 9 digs for the girls volleyball team against Temescal Canyon. She played strong matches at the libero position in two big wins against Heritage and Temescal Canyon.

These athletes will be eligible for selection as Paloma Valley High School's Athletes of the Month, which will be announced the first week of November.
