Paloma Valley High School Athletes of the Week: Oct. 15

Each week of the school year, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Paloma Valley High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Paloma Valley High School Athletes of the Week:

Olivia Meyer hit .500 against Elsinore for the girls volleyball team. According to coach Stephen Kass, the senior captain "leads by example, always willing to help her teammates, and is one of our hardest working players."

Ruben Colon received Athlete of the Week honors representing the football team. He had two interceptions and many big tackles in leading the Wildcats to a 35-0 shutout over Lakeside in the team's league opener.

These athletes will be eligible for selection as Paloma Valley High School's Athletes of the Month, which will be announced the first week of November.
