MSJC Student Earns Finalist Spot for Ms. Veteran America

Mt. San Jacinto College nursing student, Stephanie Vasquez, was a finalist for Ms. Veteran America.

The competition showcases "the woman beyond the uniform" and highlights the fact that they are more than just soldiers. Vasquez served the U.S. Army for nine years before being honorably discharged in 2011.

This past Sunday, the event was held in Virginia and the proceeds went to Final Salute Inc. to raise money for homeless female veterans and raise awareness of the issue.
