Mann Cites 'Unlimited Possibilities' in Leading Menifee

It’s no secret that the past two years have been full of progress for the City of Menifee.

Under the leadership of Menifee Mayor Scott Mann, our young city has seen a growth in small businesses, retail stores, transportation infrastructure, and other quality-of-life improvements for our residents.

As Mayor, Scott Mann has kept Menifee moving – and will continue to do so, should he be elected for another two-year term.

There’s already no doubt that Menifee is a city on the move – it currently ranks as the sixth fastest growing city in the state. People continue to flock to Menifee in droves. The local economy is strong, businesses are thriving, and our city offers the types of amenities young families can enjoy.

Among the tangible economic achievements are the approval of 2 million square feet of retail footprint throughout the city, a 12-screen movie theater and bowling alley complex, and 19 new businesses and restaurants opening in the city.

In addition, the city has made significant transportation improvements, including initiating construction on the Newport Road / I-215 Interchange Project and completing construction on Menifee Road between Aldergate / Simpson Roads, the Newport Road Widening Project, and the median improvement projects in Sun City.

We have also nearly completed the I-215 Central Phase freeway expansion through Menifee.

A key foundation of this economic growth has been Mann’s spearheading of the City’s first-ever Economic Development Plan, which has also led to a 13 percent increase in property tax revenues, and a 9 percent increase in sales tax revenues.

In addition, Mann has also established the Mayor’s Business Roundtable, which is dedicated to providing input to City Council and staff on issues related to business, customer service at City Hall, and creating strategies to stimulate economic development to expand the city’s tax base.

Mann has also taken a proactive approach to communicating with local business owners and leaders to ensure the city is as responsive as possible to the needs of the business community.

To be sure, the last two years have been very busy for our city. Despite the long list of accomplishments, Scott Mann has no urge to slow down on the progress our city has made. Over the next two years, he looks forward to exploring new ideas and strategies for continuing the economic development we’ve experienced thus far.

In addition, Mann will also ensure our city’s infrastructure and transportation networks are up to the challenge of accommodating our growing population.
