Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Oct. 15

Each week of the school year, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High School Athletes of the Week:

Boys cross-country runner Christian Ventura placed 40th overall in his race at the Inland Empire Challenge last week. Girls cross-country runner Reina Kirkendall earned a medal by being in the top 40 at the same meet.

Running back Jalen Glover had an 83-yard run and a 63-yard pass reception for touchdowns in the football team's 34-21 victory over Elsinore Friday night.

Zahria Fowler of the girls volleyball team and Alexa Valencia of the girls tennis team were also honored for their accomplishments in the last week and overall this season.

These athletes will be eligible for selection as Heritage High School's Athletes of the Month, which will be announced the first week of November.
