Echoing their tagline "Menifee: We Work Here - We Live Here - We Give Here", Team Dad & Daughters of RE/MAX Diamond Realty is giving away packets of FREE school supplies to the first 100 children that come to their office this week.
Each child will walk away with a package of crayons, a package of pencils, a ruler and a spiral notebook. Owner Cynthia Nemelka jokingly adds, "And don't worry, we won't try to sell them a house. Well, not for at least a few more years, anyway."
An avid supporter and leader for the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years, the "DAD" in Team Dad & Daughters, Larry Nemelka, has always enjoyed working with children.
"Whenever our office has a booth at the City's Halloween Carnival or the City Birthday Party, or whatever, you won't find us trying to sell houses or get business," he said. "Instead, we will always have a game for kids to win prizes. Children are a blessing ... they are our future. If I can brighten a child's day, then that brightens my day."
The RE/MAX office is open for the give-away from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and the children must be present, but teenagers do not need to be accompanied by an adult. The office is located at 26900 Newport Road, Suite 120.
