Menifee Ranks Third on State List for Home Ownership Rates

Menifee ranked third out of 178 communities in a recent study that ranked the best places in California for home ownership.

The study, part of a state-by-state series by consumer advocacy site NerdWallet, analyzed federal data relating to affordability, population growth and home availability.

According to the study, the home ownership rate of Menifee residents is 78.1 percent. Median monthly income is $4,451 and medium home values are $203,800. Menifee ranked behind only Brentwood and Elk Grove on the list.

Four other southwest Riverside County cities made the top 10: Murrieta (4), Lake Elsinore (5), Perris (8) and Temecula (10).
