Clarification on Lack of Coverage of Mayoral Candidate

Menifee 24/7's policy is to profile each political candidate who declares for public office, introducing him or her to the public and allowing the candidate the opportunity to explain his or her campaign platform.

In response to some reader inquiries about the lack of such a story about Menifee mayoral candidate Paul Wiggins, here is a clarification.

Wiggins has declined several interview requests from Menifee 24/7 and has failed to return additional calls and emails. Because of this, we are unable to provide readers the kind of information given about other candidates for public office.

If Wiggins eventually agrees to be interviewed, Menifee 24/7 will publish a story on him as soon as possible.

Wiggins is the only candidate for mayoral or other council member positions who has not agreed to be interviewed. The only other candidate who has not been profiled is District 2 incumbent Tom Fuhrman. His interview was delayed because of his recent hospitalization. That article will appear later this week.
