A Wildomar man was hospitalized with severe injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while standing alongside his Ford pick-up truck July 19.
The 58-year-old resident of Wildomar, whose name has not been released, was standing at the rear of his Ford F250 truck, which was parked at the south side of Palomar Road near Mission Trail, police said. A Toyota Tacoma driven by an unidentified 24-year-old Hispanic male, also a resident of Wildomar, was traveling westbound on Palomar Road when the vehicle swerved across the road and struck the Ford pick-up truck.
The collision forced the truck into another parked vehicle, pinning the man between the two vehicles, police said.
According to police, it does not appear that alcohol and/or drugs weere a factor in this collision.
