A local effort encouraging residents to participate in a two-week foreign exchange educational program for students from China is in need of more host families.
According to Kristi Aguirre, the local coordinator for the Educational Homestay Program, more than 150 foreign exchange students will arrive in the Menifee area this Thursday, July 17, to study at a local school and experience American culture. They will be here until Aug. 2.
Host families are still needed to 10 students. These would be boys ranging from 13-16 years old from Hong Kong and other parts of China.
The students will attend school at Bell Mountain Middle School during the week. EF Homestay will also provide trips for the students to visit Disneyland, Universal Studios, and several beaches. As a host family, you would provide a place for the student to sleep and three meals a day.
If you do not live in the Menifee area, the program will provide bus pick-ups at designated stops in Temecula, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Hemet.
If you are interested, please contact Kristi Aguirre at 951-259-7615. All students must have host families as soon as possible.
