Lanes in both directions of the 215 Freeway between Newport Road and McCall Boulevard will be affected each night this week by construction crews working on the freeway widening project.
All northbound lanes of the freeway between Newport and McCall will be closed today through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. A detour will take motorists east on Newport to Menifee Road, north to McCall and then west back to the freeway.
There will also be some lane closures on the southbound lanes during this time, but at least one lane will remain open in that direction.
In addition, lanes of the northbound and southbound freeway between Ethanac Road and Highway 74 west will be closed, but no detour is required. The northbound and southbound freeway off-ramps at Highway 74 east will be closed.
