Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a string of residential burglaries in and around the Hidden Meadows Community of Menifee, police said today.
During the months of May and June, the Menifee Police Department investigated a series of nighttime residential burglaries which occurred within the housing tract southeast of Holland Road and Menifee Road. The initial investigations revealed unknown suspects entered the occupied dwellings through unsecured sliding glass doors, windows and/or pet access doors. During most of the burglaries, the victims were asleep inside the house while the crimes occurred.
On June 7, Menifee Police obtained information that led deputies to an address in the 28000 block of Sunburst Drive in Menifee. During the course of the investigation, a juvenile suspect was identified and a search of his residence located stolen property related to at least three of the residential burglaries. The juvenile was arrested for burglary and booked at the Southwest Juvenile Hall.
Deputies identified a second juvenile suspect and located him in the 27000 block of High Gate Court in Menifee. A search of a separate residence in the 27000 block of Partridge Court in Menifee located additional stolen property from an additional burglary. The second juvenile was arrested for burglary and booked at the Southwest Juvenile Hall.
Property stolen from the residences included iPads, Xbox, smart phones, gift cards, money, and credit cards.
