A Perris man was arrested without incident after deputies responded to the report of a carjacking with a handgun Monday night.
While deputies were responding to a "shots fired" call at about 9:12 p.m. in the 1800 block of Windward Court in Perris, the carjacking incident was reported in the 1400 block of Apple Creek Drive. The two investigations revealed that the incidents were related and identified 38-year-old Adrian Partida as the suspect.
Partida was located at his residence in the 600 block of Clearwater Drive in Perris and was arrested without incident. He was later booked at the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of carjacking while armed with a handgun, shooting at an inhabited building, domestic violence and child endangerment charges. He is being held without bail.
