Former Miss Menifee Valley Nia Sanchez is Crowned Miss USA

Nia Sanchez, a 2008 graduate of Paloma Valley High School and former Miss Menifee Valley, was crowned Miss USA Sunday night in a nationally televised event from Baton Rouge, La.

Sanchez beat out 50 other contestants and will represent the U.S. in the Miss Universe pageant later this year. Now a resident of Las Vegas, she competed in the Miss USA competition as Miss Nevada.
