An award dedicated to recognizing those who make a difference in the community was presented to 25-year Menifee resident Bill Zimmerman by 67th Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez recently.
The "power to the People" Award was presented for his service to the community as President of Arts Council Menifee. Zimmerman also serves on the Board of Directors for MSJC Foundation, Menifee Valley Historical Association, and the Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley. He also volunteers with the Menifee Union School District as a member of the Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee and the Local Control Accountability Plan Committee.
Zimmerman was recently appointed by District V County Supervisor Marion Ashley to serve as Trails Committee member for the County Parks & Open Space District.
"My wife and I enjoy working with so many positive volunteers in our new city, and it is a special honor to be recognized by Assemblywoman Melendez," said Zimmerman.

In addition to the several organizations he serves, Bill also serves as an example to all of us. He is a "giver" and and an all-around wonderful person.
