A transient discovered in Lake Elsinore in possession of illegal drugs and in violation of probation was charged with additional crimes after being found with concealed drugs while being processed into Southwest Detention Center.
An Lake Elsinore Police officer observed a male adult riding a bicycle without a headlight at about 1:30 a.m. May near Auto Center Drive and San Jacinto River Road. Subsequent investigation revealed that the bicyclist was currently on probation with search terms.
The officer conducted a search of the bicyclist in accordance with the search terms of his probation, and located an ounce of powdered cocaine in his possession.
Alvin Eugene Heads, 52 and a transient from Lake Elsinore, was arrested for possession of cocaine and violation of probation and was transported to the Southwest Detention Center. While being processed into the detention center, Heads had drug paraphernalia concealed on his person, and was additionally charged with bringing narcotic paraphernalia into a correctional facility.
