Menifee Boys & Girls Club Registration Begins Today

Registration opens today for the first program offered by the new Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley.

The club's summer program will begin June 12 at its facility at 26301 Garbani Road -- site of the former Menifee Valley Elementary School. The program will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, said John Whann, the club's executive director.

"We'll have field trips, laser tag, water slide jumpees ... it will be an endless summer of fun," Whann said.

Activities will include daily sports challenges, arts and crafts, classes in dance and cooking and much more. Children ages 6-18 are eligible to register and scholarships will be available for qualifying families.

"This club will have a tremendous impact on the entire community," Whann said. "It will provide a safe and positive place for the children of Menifee. The sky's the limit for what we can do here."
