A car that ended up on its roof on the 215 Freeway is placed on a tow truck Thursday morning. |
Gloria Sanchez, a prominent member of the Oasis 55+ gated community, said the driver "was lucky he had only scratches." She said she did not know the man's name or any further medical information, but that he is a resident of the Oasis Community.
Sanchez said that according to the information she received, the man's foot slipped off the brake as he was approaching the west exit gate at Antelope Road. His foot became stuck against the accelerator, she said, causing the car to crash through the exit gate, race across Antelope Road at high speeds, crash through a fence and land on its roof on the northbound lanes of the freeway, just north or Newport Road.
Menifee Police have released no information on the accident at this time.
