If you have had persistent asthma for at least one year, Elite Clinical Trials wants you to aid in testing the safety of different doses of Dulera in relation to asthma.
Mometasone Furoate is an inhaled corticosteroid, which is a steroid hormone similar to those produced through the adrenal glands to reduce inflammation.
Formoterol is a long-acting beta agonist (LABA) bronchodilator that prevents asthma attacks.
The study will test the safety of the combination of the both Mometasone Furoate and Formoterol inhaled in fixed doses versus Mometasone Furoate by itself as a multi dose inhaler monotherapy.
If asthma has affected your life and you are interested in discovering new treatments, Elite Clinical Trials wants your help.
Possible candidates should be at least 12 years old and have experienced asthma for at least one year.
The asthma study lasts for a 26-week period and does not have a chance of a placebo.
The primary coordinator of the asthma study, clinical research coordinator Stefanie Richardson, says participants could possibly suffer from fewer asthma symptoms.

“When the study is over, these patients are able to go to their doctor and inform them that they had fewer asthma symptoms with Dulera and have their PCP prescribe this medication for them [now] versus waiting several years for a medication to be approved by the FDA,” said Richardson.
Just like other Elite Clinical Trials studies, medication is free of charge and participants are actually compensated for both their time and travel.
Elite Clinical Trials volunteers do not need to have medical insurance to participate in the study.
Richardson says most of the study’s patients either don’t have insurance or they cannot afford to pay the co-pay for their asthma therapy.
Elite Clinical Trials offers Dulera for free while participating in the study in exchange for your time. With no chance of placebo, there is nothing to lose if you can’t afford your asthma medication.
Elite Clinical Trials has a staff of specialized, nurses, doctors and researchers who know your time is valuable. You can receive top of the line medical attention without any charge because medical research is more valuable to Elite Clinical Trials than your money.
The asthma study currently being conducted is just one of many trials Elite Clinical Trials conducts using volunteers to come up with medical research. Other trials include Depression, Bipolar Disorder, High Cholesterol, etc.
