A Canyon Lake woman was arrested for driving under the influence in connection with a hit-and-run collision in which a pedestrian was injured earlier today.
Natazska Shaundelle Farr, 43, was apprehended by Lake Elsinore Police officers while driving on Summerhill Drive in Lake Elsinore. The incident happened a short time before, at about 11 a.m., on Railroad Canyon Road east of Church Street.
According to police, witnesses stated that a gray van struck a tree in the center median and possibly a female pedestrian before fleeing the scene. The female was transported to Inland Valley Medial center with major, but not life threatening, injuries.
The subsequent investigation led to Farr’s arrest for driving under the influence and hit and run regarding the collision with the tree. The cause of injuries to the victim are still being investigated.
