Officers from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Central Homicide Unit are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy from a gunshot wound.
Deputies responded at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 31000 block of Wilfskill Avenue in Nuevo to the report of an accidental shooting. The juvenile was found dead inside the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies secured the location and notified investigators.
The identification of the victim is being withheld at this time. This is an on-going investigation and no further information has been released.
