Police in Lake Elsinore are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store in that city Wednesday night.
At approximately 11:50 p.m. on March 5, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported armed robbery at a convenience store located in the 23000 block of Temescal Canyon Road.
The store clerk reported that a Hispanic male entered the store and asked for a packet of cigarettes. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect pulled up his shirt to show the clerk a black handgun in his waistband and demanded money. The suspect also demanded the clerk’s wrist watch. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and a wrist watch. The suspect got into a green four door, older Honda, which drove away in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black baseball hat, grey sweatshirt, dark grey sweatpants and black sneakers.
