A Perris man and a 17-year-old juvenile are in custody on suspicion of attempted murder after police found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Friday night in Homeland.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department news release, officers responded to the 26000 block of Ritter Avenue in Homeland regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim discovered there was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening wounds.
The suspect vehicle and two suspects were located near the 2200 Block of Wilson Avenue in Perris. Investigators served a search warrant at that location, where they found the weapon used and evidence related to the crime.
Eric Meza, 18, was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center. A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested and booked into the Southwest Riverside County Juvenile Hall.
