Sport' Story: Sport is looking for a home because his owner already has three dogs and more dogs were not allowed. Sport weighs about 9 pounds and has a wire-haired coat that is mostly black with some tan/wheaten on his legs. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, house trained, crate trained and is ready to go to a new forever home. Sport is a great little companion dog who is very cute and loving. He gets along well with people, cats and other dogs. He loves to get in your lap for loving and just wants a family to love! Dachshunds are active little dogs and require daily walks.

Organization: Rescue and Rehome, Inc., a small private nonprofit no-kill rescue.

Adoption details: Adoption fee $150, cash only, which is to help reimburse for expenses of caring for the animal and getting it ready for adoption. Adoption contract required.

Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only; within a 50 mile radius because they deliver the animal to its new home to do a home check. They are looking for adopters who are willing and able to make a lifetime (15+ years) commitment to the care of this pet.
