Board members of Arts Council Menifee reported that last Saturday's auditions for the April 11 Menifee's Got Talent showcase attracted more than 30 acts.
Despite the heavy rains, a variety of acts auditioned, including singers, musicians and dancers. Others emailed in links to YouTube performances.
Those chosen to perform will be on the stage in the Heritage High School Theater Friday, April 11 from 7-9:30 p.m. In addition to the talent competition, the evening will feature some popular professional and semi-professional Menifee performers.
There will be over 20 acts total, each doing one number. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the show. Those who purchase them online at artscouncilmenifee.org will have the option of sitting in the first five rows.
This is the fourth annual presentation of Menifee's Got Talent. Last year's show, held at the Kay Ceniceros Center, sold out. This year, with help from superintendent Dr. Jonathan Greenberg and the Perris Union High School District, it is in a much larger and better-equipped venue.
