Menifee in Pictures: Roadwork Continues at Menifee Road

Drivers should use caution and obey traffic signs and directions given by construction personnel today at the intersection of Menifee Road and Simpson Road. This location, where Menifee Road southbound dead-ends into Simpson Road, is crowded with trucks and tractors.

Workers are moving closer to extending Menifee Road south through what is now an open field until it hooks up with the south section of Menifee Road at Aldergate Drive. The roadway just south of Simpson Road is not yet paved, but grading has brought the road surface level with Menifee Road through the hilly terrain that will soon become an important north-south thoroughfare.

The project is expected to be completed next month.
