Woman Dies in Mobile Home Fire in Winchester

Cal Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that gutted a mobile home and took the life of a 75-year-old woman in Winchester early this morning.

The fire was reported at 6:25 a.m. in the 33900 block of Clinton Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find a double-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. The fire was contained at 6:54 a.m. but the structure was destroyed and one fatality was confirmed. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
