A Murrieta woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another woman was stabbed in a Temecula restaurant Thursday night, police said.
Stephanie Federico, 23, was booked into the Southwest Detention Center after her arrest following a pursuit by officers as she tried to flee the area on foot. The search for the suspect began about 8:46 p.m. Thursday after Temecula Police located a 28-year-old female victim inside a restaurant in the 41500 block of Margarita Road. The victim was suffering from two stab wounds.
The investigation revealed that the female victim had been attacked by an acquaintance while attending a birthday gathering at the restaurant.
