Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant Will Re-Open on Sunday

Mi Pueblo is preparing to open for business at the former location of China Wok Express and Donuts, 26100 Newport Road.

Mi Pueblo, a popular Mexican restaurant in Menifee that was forced to leave its former location a month ago, will re-open for business this Sunday, Jan. 12, at 9 a.m.

The new site is just around the corner from its previous place of business in the old Albertson's center, located at the intersection of Newport Road and Murrieta Road. Mi Pueblo is now just a few doors down from its former next-door neighbor, Menifee Bicycles, which also relocated in the same center when an Auto Zone was planned for their old shops facing Murrieta Road.

This is the former location of China Wok Express and Donuts, which closed its doors in August after an FBI raid of the business.

Owner Susana Gomez and her family operate the restaurant, which features a wide variety of Mexican dishes, combination plates, specials and senior discounts. The restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
