Menifee in Pictures: Missing Link Takes Shape

Now that the Newport Road widening project is complete, our attention turns to the so-called "missing link" -- the gap between where Menifee Road ends at Simpson Road to the north and picks up again at Aldergrate Drive to the south.

That road is being paved by a developer that will eventually build houses in the area. Here, Jim Ramsdell gives us a view of the graded road surface taking shape as one looks south from Simpson Road. Once the project is completed in March, motorists will be able to travel from the far south end of Menifee all the way past Highway 74 to the north.
