The Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society will hold its next meeting this Thursday, Jan. 9, from 1-3 p.m. at the Wildomar Library Community Room.
The speaker will be LEGS member Dwight Baker. He will presen an update on new things in genealogy that can be found on the Internet. His talk will include such things as new items at ancestry.com and other websites including FamilySearch, FindAGrave, BillionGraves, as well as Facebook Genealogy groups.
The Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society Business and Program meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday of each month except July and August from 1-3 p.m. at the Mission Trail Community Library, 34303 Mission Trail in Wildomar (located between Bundy Canyon and Palomar at Canyon Drive). Visitors and guests are welcome. The meeting is free and open to the public.
In addition, a volunteer will be at the library on the fourth Thursday of each month from 1-3 p.m. to assist anyone with beginning their genealogy or to help to further their research. It is free and the public is welcome. Call Candy Petersen at 951-246-2028 for more information.
