Captain Daniel Greer frequently checks Menifee 24/7 for hometown news from his military base overseas. Greer, whose home base is March Air Reserve Base, is a KC-135 pilot recently deployed for service. He follows this site for hometown news, even from the other side of the world.
Earlier this month, Greer read from his remote location that Provecho Grill in Menifee was offering a Breakfast with Santa event for local children. He contacted his family back home. Greer's mother, Phyllis, took her grandson Josiah for a fun morning at an event she might not have heard about otherwise.
Maybe Phyllis Greer will be a daily reader of Menifee 24/7 now, too.
"I continue to appreciate the website because I can stay connected to what is going on in our hometown," Captain Greer wrote in an email. "I find out about most things before my wife from even over here. Anyway, it was great to hear that my son got to see Santa at Provecho. He really enjoyed it!"
Kids and adults from throughout Menifee enjoyed breakfast and photos with Santa at Provecho Grill Dec. 7. |
