Three men were taken into custody early this morning in connection with the armed robbery of a Circle K store near Ethanac Road and Interstate 215 in Perris.
Perris Police Department officers responded at 3:17 a.m. to the report of a robbery at the store location, 3150 Case Road, Suite I. The store is located in the Perris Crossing Shopping Center adjacent to the 215 freeway at Ethanac Road.
The clerk described three black male adults entering the store, with at least one armed with a handgun. Items taken during the robbery included an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, and scratcher lottery tickets. The suspects were seen leaving the area in a gray or silver Dodge Neon, police said.
Responding officers located a silver Dodge Neon in the area and a vehicle stop was attempted. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit began. The suspect vehicle collided with a metal gate in the area of 11th Street and Park Avenue and two black males fled on foot in opposite directions. Both suspects were captured after a brief foot chase.
The third suspect, who was not in the vehicle, was located walking on Case Road. He was identified by video surveillance from the Circle K. All items taken during the robbery were located in the vehicle, along with two "air soft" replica handguns.
The suspects were identified as:
Keon O’Neal Wooten, 28, of Moreno Valley
Kenneth Daniels Jr., 27, of Banning
Henry Jay Wilson, 24, of Moreno Valley
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to call Investigator Omar Rodriguez at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Station, 951-210-1053.
